Copenhagen Blue and Rum Caramel from a local hardware store on the walls. A lot of cosy wood tones, shades of red and a lot more! Rum Caramel resembles J. T. Nimoys „Colour of Art“. He calculated the average color from more than 26,000 images in the MoMa art collection. I figured it as a perfect background for my own little art collection.
Color Inspiration
My living room is in fact the most neutral colored room in my flat. I always wanted an earthy warm room lighted up with bright blue. On this colorful neutral base I display my strong reds to give the room a bit of fire.
Color Tips
You can go wild with an colorful neutral base. All colors will pop more and even white will appear stronger. Don‘t be afraid of color, if you are in love with red, buy a spray can and turn different objets, toys or trash into matching accessoires. And it looks very neat, if you sort your books by color. And it‘s definitely a conversation starter.

I love that place, there is so much interesting stuff to look at. So I would second a "houstoer please!"

Love how quirky and unmatching everything is. You're lucky to have such gorgeous bones to work with (herringbone floors, tall ceilings, fabulous mouldings). You've done a good job at creating a visually interesting and impactful room without it looking too busy or formulaic. Love.

Lovely, warm, personal and balanced space. The reds in the rug, wall hanging and small table really work against that blue.

The colors are nice, but the arrangement of the individual items is what is the most interesting to me. The furniture and walls decorations are and so well arranged. You have my vote.

Lovely!
With just a little peak into the hallway, I'll be the first to say: House Tour please!

The hard wood floors are to die for!

I love this warm and cosy atmosphere. Just awesome. Even a glass-topped table would fit in there.

Most unusual without being in-your-face...
the reds come as a surprise, just a touch here and there.

Looks to be a very relaxing and inviting room.

There is something so appealing about how the pictures are arranged in a chaotic, yet organized manner. Arranging the books by color on the shelves is a nice touch.

i would love a house tour just to learn more about that tantalizing light fixture hanging at the top of the first photo...

@rowrowrow
The red chair is "chair one" by munich based designer Konstantin Grcics. For Magis.

The lamp is just an IKEA lamp shade. I glued sheets of old parchment paper on it.
