Both my boyfriend and I are artists so the use of color in our house is a must. This being the first house we have owned, we went crazy with the colors. I chose the dark grey to set a backdrop for the various pops of color I already had in the our furniture and accessories.

Color Tips


Even though color theory can be a bit overwhelming for those not familiar with it, I highly recommend doing a little research before diving into choosing colors for a room. I am a big fan of compliments and how they make a big impact with just a few pieces.

I live in Atlanta and need so much help decorating my house...I'm jealous. I really like your boldness in choosing such a dark color, it came out very well :)

This room is so personal and organic, which is what I think makes a great room.

The only downside is that the rest of the house looks so boring in comparison...maybe you just haven't got that far.

Ok. So I know I know you, but this looks so much better than the other entries! I also have pops of color in my house, but not as balanced. This room is so simple and bold. Logical yet creative. Love it!
