Color Inspiration

As I browsed through magazines and Apartment Therapy postings, I knew that I wanted to have a lime green-colored wall in the first home I bought with my husband even before we moved in. We already had the blue couch in our old apartment, though I felt that it was fading away against a beaten-up white wall. I realized one day that our wedding invitations were colored lime green and lilac, and the way the colors blended inspired me to paint our walls the same way. It was the perfect combination with some added blue and green accent.

Color Tips

Just look around you and be amazed with where you can get your inspiration from. I should have expected to get mine from our wedding invitation! You can always start there and expand your color palette with different accents, an easy way I found to add more color to your space!

love the blue plates on the lime green wall. And what a great way to store all your books, makes a statement, right in the living room. By far, my favorite living room. I want to see the other rooms too...

I love the bold use of lime green and the soft accent of the lilac! This is modern, yet has such a "home" feel to it with the decor and the use of space. This is definitely my favorite!

Very beautiful things, and ecclectic style. Love it! Also, I really love the bookshelves. It looks like a very cozy place with so many conversation pieces!
