Color Inspiration

It's what makes me happy! I couldn't live in a minimalist home. Colors make me feel more alive, and when I was decorating I went for things that moved me.

Color Tips

Don't be afraid! I thought other people would think my room was too much (and probably some people still do!), but most people have said that it works. Most importantly, it works for me.

You selected bright green as the 3rd color in your palette but I see none in the room ...?

Using deep melon-ey pink like this as a primary accent color is very delicious! The colors in general are "sherbet" colors.

Clutter makes some people happy-- I understand that but this feels disorganized or just a drag somehow.. i'm not sure what it is, but bright colors should not feel ...drab. maybe it's the dark feeling. I really wanted to like it, because the colors were so vibrant and upbeat. They're just swallowed up here by duller things.

maybe it's the jumble of furniture--like the two pieces that serve to separate bed from sofa could be one taller piece with a light on it. The boxes under the bed should be out of sight, the kitchen area tidier, better lighting I'm thinking this place could really shine with a few minutes of neatening up.

I wanted to say I really love the colors you chose.
I'd love to show my rooms on AT, just so people could give me some unbiased tips on how to create a better space within my budget. I share my space with others, but they leave the decor to me. But at this time I have no budget, so all I can do is caretake what I have. I do like your teal, though and am tempted to buy a gallon.
