Green Walls are YOLO Colorhouse LEAF.04, Ceiling is YOLO Colorhouse AIR.03 and the reclaimed floor boards from the house are just a mixture of leftover paints I had sitting around in the garage. All paint is No VOC. The tub surround and shelf under the handmade vanity are also leftover from our house. All I did was wash the dirt off of them and seal them. So all the boards are door and window trim from three different rooms that were deconstructed and materials saved. The vanity is a concoction of YOLO Colorhouse AIR.03 and then dirt rubbed in and wiped off...yep dirt! and then a slight coat of a brown glaze and a whitewash. The handmade tiles are brown and white, wanted to splash up a classic subway tile pattern.
Color Inspiration
To reuse, recycle and renew with what I already have, add a twist of humor and build from there. Everything is salvaged and sustainable in my bathroom. Left over flooring, door and window trim boards for the tub surround, recycling beer bottles for counter and tub top. Old green glass doorknobs as drawer pulls (That's the push to put green on the walls even when other folks were screaming "don't do it"! A bedspread used as curtains, thriftstore finds and family treasures. to complete the look. I even put my name on the tub! I stayed within the circle of greens, and browns and everything else just fell into place.
Color Tips
Live in the moment and choose colors that make you happy. It doesn't matter what anybody else thinks.

It's the small landscape painting that really makes the room for me. Anyone can do subway tile, but that painting, just where it is, is special.

A pretty and unique bath. I'm glad that there's only one sink. I think it's silly and rarely necessary to have two.

I just LOVE the color scheme here-it is timeless, yet contemporary. I especially love the effect and reused wood on the bathtub...such a signature look for Shannon! Fantastic job! I'll keep this page bookmarked for my next bathroom reno!

Ya got my vote girl! Absolutely stunning! I love how you have repurposed most of the items in the room - THAT is what gives it the character and warmth. Your use of color is perfect!

Those colors are so calming. You made what could have been an otherwise cramped space into a spa like hideaway. I love it!
