Color Inspiration
hmmmm.....I knew I wanted lavender, and wanted something young and fresh for a teenage girl. Cheerful and happy for my Macie:-)
Color Tips
You gotta go with what you like. If you don't like color, don't use it. Don't go with all bold. Pick something that can be a bridge or neutralizer for a couple of bolder colors. I mixed in some grey's and whites with the lavender's and red's.

Love the room!
Did you freehand the trees or was it a stencil of some sort?

I really like the trees behind the bed. Is that from a stencil??
Cute for a teen room!

Your room...well it just "feels" good. It's pretty, fun, bright, sweet, happy and beautifully done. I love it!

Thank you for the comments! The wall of trees is freehand, and it is a pretty easy and fast project. The imperfection works- so just go for it! I didn't even use tape. The rug is from Target.

Hi SkylarkMelody! I'm so glad you like it! The lamp shades are just standard store bought that I recovered in Amy Butler fabric. I'm not sure if you mean the little desk the lamps are on ( that is vintage and I just painted in the black detail on top), or the side table by the bed, which is just a customized Ikea table. I did a how-to on my blog here http://pompandcircumstance.wordpress.com/2010/07/22/before-and-after-ikea-lindved-table/.
The art I did with Macie. I wanted something that was doable for she and I to do together. It was super easy ( just yellow and orange paint, slightly mixed together right on the canvas) and I think fun for her to have art in her room that she made. Thanks for asking:-)
