Jesika's "Crisp Urban Naturals" Room
Crisp Urban Naturals
Name:
JesikaLocation:
Evansville, IndianaDivision:
NorthColors Used
Lush persimmon, crisp cyan, and natural grey, in saturated shots against a backdrop of warm white, with a variety of woods and metals.
Color Inspiration
The dynamic colors of a fall afternoon, as the days shorten: blazing foliage, clear blue sky, pebbles, and silvery tree bark. Soothing enough to soften the intensity of this sun-filled west-facing room, with focal points of clear color and sparkle, providing warmth and energy through the cool mornings - when the room is in shade - and through long, dreary Indiana winters.
Color Tips
Understand the quality of light fully in every room of your home, in every season, before choosing color. All colors, no matter how lovely or loved, will become muddy, garish, or wilt in the wrong light.

lovely, but i think the color swatch should be mostly white, then orange and then gray or blue.

This is a beautiful space but there is very little color in it. Doesn't belong in this contest.

I'd say off white is a color too.I actually lean more towards those rooms than the fully saturated ones. Glad it did make it to this contest.

Gorgeous. There might not be a lot of bright colour, but what's there is used perfectly. Particularly love the orange chairs and beautifully subtle walls.
And DipDipDive - surely the contest is about how the entrants use colour, not how much?
