Mallory's "Neutral Love" Room

Neutral Love

Brooklyn, New York

Colors Used

Both grays used are custom mixed-I just couldn't find the right shade that I wanted.

Color Inspiration

I always love to use neutrals and make them look rich. I love the dark chocolate sofa and so the color of the room had to be complementary.

Color Tips

Use what you love, you're the one who has to live there.

It's great - well done! I love the pillows on the couch. And, the glass balls - is that a light fixture? Where did you get it?

I love the glass balls, too. We made something like that into a grapelike cluster of glass and spherical light bulbs... I love it. We used these http://www.cb2.com/top-rated/accessories/bubble-balls/f4820 But the photo looks a bit different. Similar idea though.

I love this room! Soothing colors, glamorous accents... all fit together in a functional space! Glad to see someone's not afraid to admit they watch TV and read magazines... one of the only rooms that reflects functionality and a great eye for design!

Very nice--cool and collected, but the deep brown velvet (?) sofa and gold accents warms up the whole vibe. Where did you get the sofa?

And is that a kitty doing some form of acrobatics in the first photo?

That should be "warm" not "warms" (I'm an editor, for goodness sake).
