Color Inspiration

Being a first time home owners after years of renting unleashes one's hunger for color. Around that time, kiwi became my preferred choice of breakfast.I was leaning towards fruit with zest and modern twist, had to introduce some sun for extra energy, and since major demolition of old kitchen cabinets was out of the question, added a splash of blueberry wine to compliment my sun-kissed kiwi.

Color Tips

Watch how the natural light travels throughout the day and its relationship with the space. It's amazing how light bounces off the walls and goes straight for the good stuff. Sometimes it reveals the character of your wood floors and the charm of your milk white porcelain collection. Other times it could be very forgiving to all cosmetic flaws of your ceilings and walls and shine the light on those quirky turquoise columns. Take advantage of color!

What I like most about this kitchen is that it looks like it was probably a "perfectly nice" kitchen beforehand - nice counters, appliances, cabinets, ceilings - yet you just WENT FOR IT and painted it crazy colours anyway. It's like... sticking it to The Man or something.

I am not a morning person but I would be if I had this kitchen. I LOVE it. And it totally does seem like "sticking it to the Man"--the Man who decided that suburban houses should be bland and boring.

Not a fan. I cant believe you destroyed good cabinets with PURPLE paint! Also, I wish the window treatments were consistently one color.

I am deeply in love!

I love bold colours (my own home looks like it's allergic to neutrals) this is so my cuppa tea!
Happy, inviting, beautiful, warm, bright...... I just can't praise this enough!

Bravo!
