I have always adored Parisian color palettes. I saw a House Beautiful cover a couple of months ago [a purple room with one perfect red chair, and a black and white chandelier] it was one of those images that you stare at initially for 10 minutes, and just keep coming back to. It was everything Parisian Chic to me. When I was asked for my home to be photographed for a local advertisement, I scrambled. I had just moved into the completely white and several impersonal space, and knew I had to make my mark. I have never been afraid of color, and I knew that this palette was going to be bold and daring. I love the way that this space reflect our personalities, and our sense of adventure.

Color Tips


Use color because you love it - and choose a color thats perfect for you. If you try to duplicate a room exactly that you saw somewhere else, its never going to be something YOU love and adore. Use color to make a space yours. Use color to give yourself/significant other/family a new lease on the space you all live in. Color can do so much when its used right.

K8WMA- the lamp is from home goods, however, I recovered the shade myself to match my curtains! But- home goods has super fab lamps!

So awesome, so creative, so cool. Great job! You say you have pops of metallic silver but I only see gold (which looks incredible by the way). I'm always scared to mix shiny gold with silver but if this is how it looks, I'm in.
