Sacha's "Retro Rocket" Room

Retro Rocket

Pretoria, South Africa

Colors Used

Color Inspiration

Most definitely our Red Smeg Fridge, it was our first purchase as a couple. The classic B&W checkerboard floors really make the fridge Pop. From there we just started adding fun details like the gumball machine and Tin Tin prints.

Color Tips

Don't be afraid of colour, it's the quickest and easiest way to transform a space. Just go for it, you know you wanna....

Fantastic place but I think white or grey floor would look much better. But it is still adorable!

I like this room. Is it weird that my eyes immediately see "all ducks in a row"?? What I mean is, for some reason it looks like everything has been counted out and lined up (in the first pic). Whatever, I still like it. Good job.

I would love to see a source list for this kitchen! I can never find such adorable things in Gauteng! *Love*

Thanks Bethieboop!
Is there anything in particular you referring too?
Beleive it or not it's all bought in Gauteng, or customised.

This would be my dream kitchen! I love the floor, the Smeg fridge, the prints, the Stoli bottles, the glassware, the old coke crates... I love everything about it! The rocket is the best next to that cute dog of yours! Woof Woof!

I'd love to recreate the look in my little rental apartment. My kitchen floor needs to be replaced but, my landlord would never spring for anything as fun as your black and white tiles. I have a fridge that's over 50 years old and the ice builds up on the minute it's been defrosted. What I wouldn't give for that Smeg but, the price is over my budget.

You have an amazing sense of style and taste! Thanks so much for sharing! You've got my vote!

WOW - Thanks World Traveler for your awesome comments. Glad I could inspire you.
Fingers crossed your landlord agrees to the tiles.
