Love the colors and the patterns combo. Every details come together beautifully!

My favorite so far! This is proof that a room can be colorful without those super-saturated colors. It's still calm and harmonious. The unexpected pattern pairings give it richness, and the layout is perfect.

Another winner! The mix of patterns is really inspiring. This room is full of colors and pattern but feels so easy. Really love how you handled the sloped ceilings - I know that's not easy to tackle a room with this kind of tricky ceiling. But it feels so effortless and comfortable. And easy to actually live in. My favorite part is the amazing bedding. Gorgeous!

Wow, you are really moving up! I have to say that I am glad :-) but that may just be because your room is closer to my style then "New Orleans" Kitchen. I do not think your room should win overall, but I do enjoy it!

Not sure about the table lamp shades, but everything else works really well together. Unusual but soothing and beautiful.

Thanks Anne, it's one of my favourite pieces. It's from Anthropologie, as well as the shade. The lamp originally retailed for over $500, but I managed to buy it for around $130 in the sale section because it has a crack in it (you can't really see it unless you're looking for it). I bought the lampshade a few months later for half price. I'm lucky to have a great Anthropologie store in town. I just checked their website and they don't seem to be carrying it anymore. They may still have it in the stores though.

Freddiemac, I just noticed your post now. If you click on my name you can see all my posts which will give you a clear indication of who I think should win. And I agree that this room was appropriately awarded the top spot over some of the other rooms in this competition. It seems people are either voting very literally (like for rooms where every surface is painted a different color... even if it looks ridiculous) or just voting for the room they like best (regardless of how un-colorful it is.)

Though I personally do not think this room is the best representation for the criteria of this competition, I still like it a lot :-) And I am glad to see Suzanne got the 15 gallons of paint!
