Jodi's "Distant Shores" Room

Distant Shores

Name:

Jodi

Location:

Altona Beach, Australia

Division:

International

Colors Used

The back wall is murabond navy blue, other walls are Dulux antique white USA. The sliding door is murabond lily pad

Color Inspiration

When I bought the house it was covered in nicotine so all the walls were yellow regardless of their original colour. Given that, I started by painting everything white and then as I continued to live in the house, walls started screaming out for colour. The blue came about as I wanted the lounge to have a cosy feel about it -and its both warming in winter and cooling in summer so a great shade. The green sliding door was inspired by a hotel in Barcelona I saw in a book.

Color Tips

My best tip is dont be scared, and its only paint. If you dont like it, you can try something else

Jodi, can you help me find the painting (red earth/ blue sky) in this room? Either the artist's name or a higher res version of it, if at all possible. Very much appreciated!
