I am big bargain shopper so alot of the pieces that I have need a lot of updating so why not use a a bold color paint to update it? Then supplemented with a few great pieces of art and viola!

Color Tips


If you are scared of using color start with a neutral base, like my grey walls, black molding and hardwoods,and pops of white furniture. Then when you do use color, it really stands out and makes a statement!

What a great space! I often think that people with large open spaces have an advantage in this contest because they have so much more to show off all in one room.

I love the way the room as a whole (with all the furnishings and colors) reads "peacock" rather than it just being painted peacock blue or something. A very pretty and inviting space.

This room is incredible because there are not only colors on the walls, but colors throughout the entire space. I love how all of the items in the room are different, but play off of and compliment each other!

That rug is the obvious highlight of the room, but the wall color is ideal. The black border against the stark white ceiling is a nice touch. White chairs - love. White vase collection - love, love! Very GV. I think I need that magazine rack(?) on the hearth.
