Color Inspiration
This room started with the wallpaper. The aqua and peacock are super gorgeous but the pattern is so bold it needed a strong compliment to provide balance. Orange was a natural choice. Keeping everything else simple was imperative. Black and white furniture and accessories help to ground the space.

The use of toile with the other patterns is fabulous! An elegant and sophisticated example of combining color and pattern.

LOVE this! You've taken some very disparate patterns and made them work well together. A lovely, very unique bedroom.

This is what a bedroom should be! It's beautiful, but comfortable and calming. Looks well-loved and cared for.

Simply lovely. Love the pillows!

@ SanDiegoAT - It's actually a duvet and shams. They're just from Pottery Barn. I believe it was the "tile print" collection.
@jillmcarlisle - I made the pillows. I have an Etsy shop if you're interested: www.plumcushion.etsy.com
Thanks to everyone for your nice comments!

To me this looks way too busy and cramped, kind of dizzying, especially for a bedroom. It's a small room and you make it look even smaller. Also, window right above a bed doesn't looks right to me.

Thanks! Will look at your Etsy shop too, I like the pillows also. :-)

Personally those busy walls would drive me mad in a bedroom, but it looks fabulous.

HOW is this not one of top choices?

You've made this small room really come alive with a very sophisticated (IMO) combination of patterns and color. Using the window and window treatments as a focal point to emphasize the available natural lighting was quite clever, as it can be really difficult to make a room this size so visually appealing. My guess is that the room is ~10 x 12?
Good luck; hope you win!
