Color Inspiration


Red accents are used throughout the house, so this was continued in the kitchen to help connect it to the other rooms. The Slate Blue wall color was inspired by the exterior spaces. I wanted to connect the kitchen to the back yard, which contains slate patios and stacked slate walls, so we chose this as an accent color for the wall as well as the material for the kitchen counters and backsplash.

I'm not a fan of red, but I love this look! Just a little goes a long way. The dark wall is great, too, drawing your eye to the dining space.

yes I painted a wall gray - and I like it! You don't have to throw up a cacophony of color into a room to be effective.

Glorious colour, and thoughtfully put together. I'm a softie at heart, though, and felt that the overall impression was a bit hard-surfaced and stern. Was glad there was that bowl of fruit on the countertop to balance it a bit.

I love those red chairs, and good restraing on the color. Anymore of that dark blue and the room would've seemed too cavelike.

Yep it is a pretty color grey and it really accents that woodwork. The lamp is really nice with everything too.
