I take issue with the advice to buy your "investment" furniture RIGHT NOW, in fact I give my younger friends just the opposite advice. That's because I've been there, done that. I didn't end up pur...

I used to live in a house where you had to open the oven door to load the dishwasher. This too shall pass.

Wow, I love no. 6! Found the Elica website, but it seems to be a UK company. Anyone know if their products are available in the US?

HurricaneKate, what is CSN? Do they have a website.

There's a water tower like this in our town, and the idea of turning into a house was briefly entertained then completely rejected. Every time drive by the thing I wonder what living in it might h...

Sometimes I look at projects like this and think they are so clever. In more pessimistic moments, I look at projects like these and am very afraid that this is what the future will look like, a lot...

it looks like a gigantic brillo pad, and regardless of how comfortable it IS I'd be unlikely to sit in it because it looks so UNcomfy.

exorcist stairs?

I hate seeing clutter in my bedroom. It all goes in two stacked silverware trays, which then go into a drawer. Repurposing can go too far.
