I swear by plain, ol' supermarket-variety white vinegar -- from cleaning mirrors, windows and chrome, to de-stinkafying the drains, to clearing the air post-smoker's visit -- Mom was SO right on this.
I drag out the pre-Cambrian iron only when the rest of the wardrobe is dirty.
