SUCH an improvement. It is a much warmer room and I like your resourcefulness. Stark white and minimal isn't for everyone. This shows how much can be done for so little. Good job.
The island in the kitchen is great. I like how it ties in the wood from the small countertop and warms everything up. Also, the grey paint is very nice. Thanks for sharing!

Nico_forgot: both items are in the House Tour. The coffee table is the low, red table and the copper bookshelf is between the bedroom area and the living room. (The bookshelf is nifty, indeed.)

I would hang the shade a "tad" bit higher. But then again, I'm fairly tall and low hanging lights make me nervous...
