I'd love a convertible room. A murphy bed that folds up onto the wall by day, and an office (closet) with closet doors that close off when work is done. If your bedroom is one of the ...

Great! I like emergency accommodations that are there for when you need them, but don't encourage extended family to think of your home as a free B&B!!

In my city (Vancouver, Canada), I find there's not a huge price difference for renting in different areas. So no, it's not worth it. I lived for a year in an area that was quiet, but ...

I like to have something for the eyes to rest on at each side of the room. Preferably something with good detail for the eyes to ponder. BAD = a plain silver frame on top of the firep...

I wish I had a house.

I am intrigued by the collection of coloured pottery in the kitchen! Do they collect them, or did one of the homeowners make the pots?

Partways through every move, I turn to my partner and suggest simply burning the old place down next time. I'm no pyro of course, but making that joke cheers me up.

With lots of that nice white trim in place, you could go almost anywhere with colour and it will look great! I think the room would really come together with more or larger art on th...
