Anything that involves the oven. I think I'll roast a chicken the first day the temperature allows. As for fruit, I'm not quite ready to give up the peaches. It seems like they just arrived!
Garlic press? Really? There's nothing a good knife won't chop and I think chopping more garlic is much easier than chopping less. I'd swap that out for a Y-peeler.
Why bother? Hazelnuts are expensive enough as it is and I'd guess making it yourself wouldn't be any cheaper. With the work involved (as rosebud said), it would cost you much more and I doubt it wo...
I third clafoutis. I never seem to manage to make anything else out of cherries. They're so expensive and their season so brief that making clafoutis is the only thing I can make that doesn't feel ...
I don't think I've ever bought salted butter. If a recipe called for salted butter, I'd ignore it and use unsalted. Recipes aren't engraved rules anyway. They're more like guidelines.
I was heartbroken when the checkout girl told me the bad news. I've been dragging myself to Whole Foods to get the King Arthur. I'm looking forward to the subsequent tests of this in tarts, cookies...
I certainly subscribe to the less is more school. I have my KitchenAid out and the fruit but the rest is put away. And I cook every single day. I like clear counters and I hate *stuff*. To each his...
Hey, those eggs are cheaper than the ones at my local farmer's market. You know you're paying too much when anything in Britain looks reasonably priced.
Wow. Great use of space and it's definitely expensive and everything but it's far too chilly. It looks like a hotel room and I'm not sure that's a good thing in this case. I hate the office tables ...
Add me to the Billy fanclub. I wouldn't look anywhere other than IKEA for storage solutions. Storage is one of those things that needs to fit the layout of a place *exactly*. IKEA's are hard-wearin...
I'm so jealous of Californians. So, so jealous. My local market opened this past Sunday and other than asparagus and spring onions, there wasn't much in the way of produce yet. Californians, I hope...
Sherry vinegar and saffron. I also love my bottle of truffle oil that I use as if it were liquid gold. I also vote for sardines and tuna in olive oil. I can't be without my trifecta of canned fish.

I'll be baking bread since the bakery was all out.
Wow. I can't imagine a box of expensive Mitica membrillo languishing in my domicile for any reason.

It's beautiful. I also agree we need to see the full house tour :)

The staircase bookshelf is brilliant.

I love that wall color in the first one.
I miss the hallway I used to have in my old place because of this very reason. Now I have high ceilings but less available wall space.

I'd have to say I prefer almonds to walnuts and find them infinitely more useful. I also keep almond meal on hand for most cakes and a lot of cookies.

This was one of my favorites. Blonde, you were robbed.
