I use Ikea's Expedit to store my fabric too! It's so nice. I don't fold, though, I roll the pieces up like they do with remnants at textile stores and tie with pony tail holders. Works like a ch...
if you can stand cutting them, you can hang pieces in embroidery hoops of all different sizes, and put a flock of fabric bubbles on the wall. cheap, easy, pretty.
