i agree with patrick that the bookshelves need some styling. i'm not completely sure a "bookshelf" unit is what looks best. i think you could store and display your books with more stylish shelve...

i would say that it's just another Arco lamp knock-off, but probably a vintage one. these pop up on ebay all the time. i think this one is pretty close to the one pictured.
