It also looks like this hallway is very orange. Is there maybe a way to have the lighting be more of a plain white?
Doesn't look like it'd be that hard to make, or have someone make. Go to a lumber yard, talk to the folks there about the best kind of wood for such purposes and what tools (nails, etc) you'd need...
I'm gonna go against what everyone says and suggest adding some kind of silver/chrome/mirror element to the dividing section. maybe something like
