As karenenen said, keep a list of things they can do, either written or in your head - then you won't be caught short when asked if they can help. We put a linoleum floor in our kitche...

Switched from a chest to an upright. We would lose stuff forever, plus our chest freezer was adjacent to the laundry area and always had stuff piled on top of it. Husband refused to go retrieve thi...

Ladle lover here, for risotto, like porktato, and for stirring and serving soup. Ladle and wisk are both kept in a jug on the counter with other oft-used utensils.

I may make a batch of these to take for lunch... especially for those days when I know I'll need some cheesy goodness to get through the day.

Reminds me of Mullins Cheese in Mosinee, Wi (for us Northern Midwesterners)

It sounds kind of gross, but hot cider with a shot of butterscotch schnapps is remarkably tasty.

If you aren't ready to cook with it right now, you can chop it up into bite sized pieces and freeze it. Hell-o springtime!

I take a 32 oz nalgene bottle of iced tea to work each day. Been brewing the tea with warmish tap water. Will try to brew it over night and see if it makes a difference.

We have a butter bell, too, but the butter usually falls out into the water. Was just thinking I need to go back to my small glass vintage pyrex refrigerator box, at least for the summer.

I love to linger around the table after dinner with dessert and coffee (of course, I've usually just been running around like crazy getting dinner ON the table, so it's nice to sit). My husband fin...

How about one of those sandwich loaves? Get a loaf of dense white bread, unsliced. Slice off the crusts, then slice horizontally into 3 or 4 layers. Fill each layer with a different ki...

Triscuits, Stoned Wheat thins are the standards. Occasionally, it will be the Carr's Wheaty-oatmeal biscuits and/or Ry-crisp, if I can find them.
