It doesnt look like the first room is too expensive to me. I think that could be DIY'd and Ikea'd. I wish we had so few toys (harder to do now that she has them). I wish we alternatively had storage.

I think it looks neat too, but why not make a larger felt piece and attach it to the ceiling so that it covers the light fixture?
