Laura, I'm also in the middle of a bathroom remodel, and I must say that I {heart} IKEA for the fixtures. My bathroom is tiny, and IKEA had the right size cabinet & sink for me. I even got the fa...

I have a pink one that's about the size of the green one in the photo. Used to have the big yellow one, but a cat destroyed it. I find that I use my pink pyrex more than the fancy mixing bowls fr...

For $79 it belongs at the store. It's cute, but a pillow isn't worth that much to me.

I bought one of these for my folks last year (I"m in the city, they're not), and it's pretty great. It does take up a lot of room; I couldn't put my arms around it. It's a steal at $30.

I would like to live a Calvin Klein sort of life style, but I'm too much of a slob. I get the poor man's Ralph Lauren look by just leaving crap all over the house.

No kidding. Looks like I can't afford to recycle.

I think Anne in Chicago has the right idea But if you can't do that, try some contact paper. You can get it with patterns, or in plain white. It will peel off when it's time to leave...

Tree Study works better in cream than in green. The green loses the mid-century appeal.

This sounds completely delicious, and I"m wondering how it tastes cold. It sounds like it would be an interesting alternative / addition to chips & salsa that could be made the night before a party.

Ikea has some cute outdoor stuff. And now is the time of year for yard sales! Some mismatched chairs & a can of spray paint can take you far.

I love that you are able to have stuff, without making it seem cluttered. There's a lot going on in your space, but it never seems messy or overwhelming. Really well done.

I love picking up pots & pans used. You can find good bargins at garage sales & thrift stores. If you're worried about germs or the like, just throw it in the oven for 30 minutes & it's sterilized.

What are those drawers made of? I'd be concerned about them being insubstantial. I would paint it too, but other than that, I dig this bed.

What exactly is the problem: not enough storage, too little counter space, ugly? From the picture, it looks like bad design. You can't use that cabinet in the corner because of the shelf blocking...

Bravo! Nicely written. Love your crap!

I would trip over those legs like Inspector Clouseau.

Where in the apartment is that second picture? I can't figure out where it goes.

Nice kitchen.

I'm coveting your kitchen cabinets. Do they open upwards, or side to side? Where did the handles come from? This is a dreamy apartment.
