I painted my table recently (also an oak color and the finish was chipping off). I painted the legs in espresso to match my chairs and then painted the top in whiteboard paint. It looks pretty spif...

I would use them. I have pretty hardwood floors and the dog likes to try and chew off the felt pads of my chair legs. Nothing else... just the felt pads. Or the felt pads come off on their own and ...

Thanks for posting about my table! So far my children haven't damaged any clothing while using the table, but they're also 6 and 9. Inebriated adults on the other hand... Aside from t...

Rustoleum has whiteboard paint as well. I recently did an entire dinning table with it and we've loved it so far. It does take a while to cure, but it's pretty neat for game night.

I tried this today and just loved it. It turned out awesome and I think the cranberries can be replaced with other types of fruit or left out altogether for just a yummy yellowish cake. Delicious!

I have one and love it. I've used it for about 5 months now and it hasn't damaged my floors at all. I love that they're super clean though with not a lot of work and I'm comfortable letting my 8 ye...

The toys are stored in the children's bedrooms, that's the only place the toys get to live. While the children do sometimes bring a project to the other areas of the house, everything goes straight...

I like it and depending on the felt used, it can be durable. If you're using the cheap felt from a chain craft store, it's not going to last long or look good. If you use a high quality felt though...

I don't think I could handle a dinner co-op where one person is making a ton of food once a week and then you wait for your food to be brought to you. I like cooking too much to do that.

I agree with qhartman about making sure you have clearance for tall people. Also, I'm not sure if this is an issue, but make sure people won't hit it should they oh raise their arms or something....

Oh and since it's contact paper, it should come off easily. I did my kitchen tiles in one of my military homes with contact paper in an attempt to get rid of the fugly. Left the contact paper there...

I would put something else on my fridge, but that's not doing it for me. Maybe a mario themed mushroom instead...

I thought it was interesting... not $100 interesting, but interesting all the same.

I have a Tempur-Pedic as well and love it. I want redo the whole infomercial, but it was worth every penny. I have horrid allergies and buying the allergen resistant mattress really helped. It's al...

and if you don't want to make them yourself, there are etsy sellers that sell these too

That is freaking awesome. I have to make one for my husband's drive he keeps at work now...

I clean and organize the house often. How does this help? It makes me realize what I truly have so that I'm not tempted to bring in more stuff. I also have a constant out box and seeing the items i...

I took the "join the cure" advice and started early. We get so many compliments on the livingroom (first room you see from the door and it's galley style so you'll see it all). We enjoy the house m...
