I think I have four blankets on my bed.
I used to live in a colder area, and only had a twin bed. There I had four doubled over quilts, and two blankets, for a total of ten layers.

I question whether that yellow canvas qualifies as "art".
Seems like a small amount of effort should be put into art, not just dumping a quart of paint on a canvas.
Maybe there are some...
I'm a big fan of silence, but sometimes I fall asleep to movies. (Old movies are great, as is Almost Famous and Amelie.)
I used to fall asleep to either the Garden State soundtrack, or the Po...
It's fantastic, that's what it is.
I dig the leather-esque covering. Even with the funny strapping on the arms - it adds character. Plus, a nice (faux) leather chair is so comfy.
I use one to sit up in bed and read. While I sleep, it ends up on one side of the bed out of convenience - it's darn cozy too.
I also have two on my backless couch.
Another green thing you can do with your old bedding is give/sell it to a second-hand store (after washing it, of course.) Someone who needs cheap, good quality, green-ish sheets/blankets will real...
I completely agree with FiatLex. I have lots of boxes around the house - and no money for expensive pieces of plastic that won't be quite the right size. That's a great idea!
Definitely more things for renters - cheap renters.
I still have a cardboard box for a coffee table, and a frameless futon for a couch. I laugh at the phrase "Design Within Reach."

I've gone backpacking with a cat.
We had her in a fanny-pack for the hiking, or on our shoulders.
She was a little freaked out, but the hiking was fine, the evening was fine.

Kudos to whoever said trains. We only hear them occasionally, but it always takes me back to childhood summer nights with the windows open.

One could do a similar thing, but without the "leafy" top, to make it not look like the children's book corner. Personally, I love it.

If Pandora's Box looked like that, it's no wonder it held all the evils of mankind. Yikes.
It needs to have arms! I hate "reading chairs" that I'll fall out of if I curl up.

Fantastic!
We have a cat who likes to pee on bathmats. My best advice: shut the door, and pick up the mat when you're done.
Chunky oak furniture. I'm not a huge fan of those puffy, Laz-E-Boy sofas either.

I'll be frank - I'm a big fan of rusty metal objects from yore.
