i placed a painted canvas on top of my electric panel. i think using a painted canvas with hinges should work in this instance. the frame just draws more attention to it.
I'd put shallow shelves on the right hand side of the wall filled with small vases and art work.
And on the left hand side of the wall, I'd put a large art work to balance it out.
I'd use the Louis Ghost Armchair. I think its lightness in material and color make for a nice contrast to the heavy look of the table, while its shape compliments the table very well.

maybe thomas paul got a contract with them just like other designers in the past...besides, he totally ripped off chinese paper cut-outs!
i think it's too industrial looking for this space...maybe if it was an old loft with a lot of exposed brick and steel support beams.
