My five quart le creuset sits out on the stovetop, because I have a tiny apartment kitchen with little a storage space. My two smaller pieces reside in the cupboard.

I forgot to add that I loathe iceberg lettuce. If I ate plastic, I imagine it would taste just like iceberg.

I made this Monday night in a dutch oven. The chicken was absolutely perfect--juicy and tender. Some bits of crouton were harder than others, but all were flavorful.

I, too, poach prunes in port. I serve them as dessert with mascarpone cheese. Amazing & fast--ten minutes work at most! Can be pricy, though: prunes port sugar vanilla bean cheese.
