I am stumped as to color but I think taking out the point above the doorway and giving it a curve would be wonderful. And then adding a curved wooden overhang for the steps would finish it nicely....

Love the bold use of pattern of color! Not so sure the placement of Buddhas at the foot of the bed is respectful. Something to think about.
