Off topic, but... did you get the vermont slates from Vermont Structural slate? That looks like what we are looking for - beautiful. What is the color?
We have the neo sectional and found they are super-comfortable and the cushions hold their shape well through the years. But the covers are Dry Clean Only, which is rather a PIA.
You can go for the crib but get a sleep positioner so they feel secure and are safe on their backs.
We tried co-sleeping but our son was a noisy sleeper (and we are light sleepers), so...

I second the idea of painting it white, but maybe the back panel can be painted a different color for contrast/fun.
