we don't have cable and hardly ever watch tv. we mostly watch movies on the weekend evenings after our son is in bed.

The play kitchen is from kidkraft. It's mostly wood. Some of the knobs are plastic. I ordered mine through a seller on amazon but I know costco had them for awhile in their stores.
