I gardened outside before eating a decent breakfast, so by noon I dug happily into leftovers! I reheated some spinach-Swiss cheese quiche and a bowl of Perciatelli spaghetti with meaty tomato sauce...

To JenPDX: The scene in Little Women, at the table with pink and white ice cream, is exactly and immediately what came to my mind. And hot buttered toast in Wind in the Willows! Yum!

I like Krogers, because it's close and convenient.

This cake is very good--especially when baked in the recommended 9 inch springform, which produces a higher cake. I've found it to be a foolproof treat. Children like it better with the light olive...

Lunch--I hate to shock you, but it consisted of a hot dog on a white bun, packaged oatmeal-raisin cookies, Fritos, and a banana. School cafeteria fare.
