we love our sofa too, so when we adopted a new dog we instituted a strict no-dog-on-the-couch policy. it can be a pain in the beginning, but in the long run i think it's the only way to really prot...
we have the more pared-down (& cheaper!) bonjour press, and it also has that 'flavor lock' function. it's great - we've had nary a bitter cup of coffee in the year we've been using it!
