I went vegan for the environment more than three years ago. It just seemed like the easiest and most effective change I could make. And the eating has been good so far. I get as much local and seas...
I've tried the baking soda and vinegar paste, and it worked fine. I left the solution overnight, not just for an hour. The hardest part was getting bits of baking soda out of nooks and crannies.
I too will never part with my immersion blender. I bought the cheapest one three years ago ($20), and I think it only has another year left on it. For people who bought a more expensive one, how we...
In Defense of Foods also talked about how there's always a food villain. HFCS is just posing as the current villain. As far as I'm concerned, HFCS is just a henchman of industrial food, not the mas...

I think variety is really important so you don't feel deprived or bored with your food. It's easy to fall into a habit of eating the same vegetables over and over. And cooked the same way, too. Mos...
You can stir fry lettuce with the usual ingredients (soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and so on). I've only done it with romaine and iceberg, so I'm not sure how well other lettuces hold up.

I used to have a loquat tree, and I would make chutney. They do take forever to prepare though because of how small they are and all the seeds.
If you have a problem with your soy milk curdling in your coffee, heat the milk before you add it. It's the fast temperature change that does it.
Someone bought me the salt-free Rapunzel bouillon once, and it was great. I keep meaning to pick it up again.

I've already tried out my pie, and made a few attempts at vegetarian main dishes. I think I'm doing my third and final trial this weekend.
I like it in beans and greens soup. White beans, kale, garlic, broth, and nutmeg.

I would add hushpuppies, bread pudding, and of course king cake! I might take off blackened fish though...

Oh! My grandmother had these when I was a kid. With seashells. And they're not entirely unbreakable.

I think I would have tried cooking it with some olive oil on the stove. I hate throwing out food, too.
