Is the table cedar? If so, just let it age and weather on it's own. It will turn a silver color, but the cedar oils in the wood help to preserve it without having to add anything else.
@squirrelgirlie - I have the Zapp and it is great.
We started with a Graco System, because we thought that's what we were supposed to buy! While I liked the convenience of a large str...
We have this rug, and have a pretty purple-y periwinkle on the wall - blue would have been nice too. I like the idea of the orange - it's a refreshing color in a kids room.
We had 2 cats when our daughter was born, we only have 1 of them now. He's a sweet old man of a cat (almost 14) and quite gentle - except for times when the toddler does toddler things like stick h...
We have tried to limit the electronic toys as well, but a few have made their way in to the toy room. We let her play with them, and if she still finds play value without the batteries, then we jus...
Now that my daughter, 2 1/2, is past the messiest phase of baby/toddler eating our kitchen is starting to look like a kitchen again!
This isn't really a design tip, but it's what work...
Maybe sew your own new cover? We grabbed a couple of second hand high chairs as spares for homes we would be eating at regularly (grandparents and great aunts). I used the old cushion as a template...
This may be weird, but I would check out the pet section. My daughter loves to crash on the giant cushioned pet bed that my parents have for their lab. Just look for one that is polyester filled (s...
We took the side off the crib - she slept like that for a week before we put up the IKEA Hemnes daybed for her. She LOVES the daybed. Right now it's a twin, but it trundles out to accomodate a larg...
Don't discount the Bumbo yet! My daughter was given one when she was 4 months old. She loved sitting in it, and then loved escaping from it! She went through a chubby leg phase and really hated the...
I was at IKEA yesterday and the kids playing on it appeared to be in the 3-4 year range. They need a bit of strength to adjust the chair themselves, or an adult would have to do it. (My 2 1/2 year ...
Links! While they are plastic, they have numerous uses. We used them on the stroller to attach:
-Winkle toy
-Her taggie blanket
-Fabric books (that already had a fabric loo...

Very neat! I wonder if the old trick of adding dish soap to the 'paint' would make it even more washable?
You can also take out one of the sections of a Swiffer sweeper to make it kid sized. We did this and our daughter loves to help clean up!

Forgot to add: if you go to the Tarkett website tarkettna.com you can select your state and it will give you a list of retailers for your area.
Home Depot carries it in Canada, so HD in th US should as well.

Too creepy. And that's only with a white candle. Creepier yet if one used green or red...Ugh.

The chair is sweet, but at $80 US ($99 here in Canada) it's a steep price for an item that has a limited lifespan.
What size is the room? The layout is very similar to my daughter's small room, and I love the way you have used the space.
Am I the only one that thinks Beetlejuice rather than Biarritz?
