Not all Low Flows are the same. We just installed a Toto low flow and it's awesome. One flush takes care of everything - even after an ill-advised trip to Taco Bell (if you know I mean).

Another option for the entertainment center would be to paint it the same (dark) color as the wall. It might blend better. If you can't saw off the decorative bits perhaps tack simple wood forms ...

I'm not crazy about the combo but I LOVE the lucite desk.

Glad it's not just us. We had the WE floating shelf up for 1/2 an hour before our cat ripped it out of the wall.
I find mustard or gold also look great with almost anything.

Take a look at the TrendyPet ones they seem more stable. I only have 2 cats but they get VERY excited about meal time.
