After the way Michael kept approaching Tracee to praise her design, only to turn around and immediately put it down, I was very happy to see him get the boot. Did he really think that if he made it...
I actually prefer to tackle home improvement projects in the winter, when I wouldn't really want to be outside anyway. Summertime is the best time of year in Chicago to get outside and explore, and...
Going off of the "Sex & the City" theme in an earlier post today, I always loved how Carrie had some shelves on one side of the bed, without a traditional headboard. Instead of trying to hide the w...
Please tell me that you'll be going back to the old format for the slideshows. I had to keep clicking "next", which would not have been so bad had it not been necessary to scroll down to see each p...
I really like the n:vision brand from Home Depot. They have several different color temperatures to choose from, plus they're fairly inexpensive (as far as cfl's go.)
I just moved to Andersonville from Uptown last fall and absolutely love it! I will admit that it may not fit the needs you described exactly though. I agree with advice given above about renting fo...
I'm sure there are many different ways in which paint could be used to break it up a bit. Stripes or blocks of color perhaps. Maybe even some panels covered with fabric or wallpaper that could be r...
I love the site and think y'all are doing a great job. Until this came up recently, I never really noticed the ads. If I did, they seemed easy enough to ignore. Keep up the great work!
I put an Elfa system in the (one and only) closet of my last condo after the poorly installed rack from the developer came crashing down. I loved the flexibility of it and it was pretty easy to ins...
Gotta pay the bills somehow. It's either this or pay to visit the site. I'll take the occasional ad that I have the choice whether to read or not. At least it's not a pop-up!
That same roll-top desk went for $500 on Chi Scavenger a few weeks ago. I was tempted, but my Dad has the exact same desk in perfect condition, so I'll have to fight over it with my sister someday ;)

I used the Benjamin Moor Aura paint in a dark red color and it only needed ONE coat. It's pricey, but it pays off.

I loved Debbie Travis! I wish they would bring her back.

I noticed online that you can check whether an item is in stock at a particular store. I'm not sure how foolproof that is though.

What an unusual assortment of furniture circling the table. Floors are uber-cool though.
This could also be a medecine cabinet inset into the wall with a frameless mirror.
I think this is my favorite post from AT... ever.
