Most of these entries didn't seem to have a prayer of being built for 99k. The guidelines developed for this competition were far to vague to produce anything that could, with confidence, be built...
paint it all--including the trim--barn red or dark gray. it'll lend it a modern feel. we did something similar for a client and the result was very nice; especially at dusk with the windows lit up.
