Why not just buy stainless steel? It is cheap and non reactive and I have no problem with hot spots.
I use a canning jar and shake the tar out of it - no spatters and no lumps! I also use cold water and flour.
ohhhh I like it. It is so pretty. I would have trouble using it as I would only want to serve pumpkin or orange colored food in it.
