Wonderful use of color! The white wall keeps it more modern looking. If all the walls were teal it would look too grandmotherly and overwhelimingly teal.
The color scheme is pretty earth-tone. You need to buy some more colorful art to hang on the walls. Some photographs and live plants would also help it look less sterile.

Crown-of-Thorns is also a good burglar deterrent and it's drought tolerant. It keeps coming back if you live in an area where it doesn't freeze.
