Impossible to judge from these pics. The descriptions on other items don't give me all that much hope for them, though. Regarding their Iceberg Sofa: "A sofa which plays with the idea of the user s...

Excellent point, SunnyBlue, and I too gasped when I saw the lead-in image. But I think hessilou is correct - I do this sort of thing all the time, holding things in place using pins as grips withou...

How's the food?! I'll be in Austin in March, might make a point of coming to check the place out if the food is as good as the atmosphere. :)

Here's are some examples of a peshtemal, btw: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=38175984

@ Laurie - that's a good point about the poll, as I answered 3 without thinking too much about it. We have 3 *changes* of towels - 2 big bath sheets, 1 for each, in 3 different colors. We don't use...

I love the old schoolhouse lights, but from the pics that's a seriously weird use of them. Really high ceilings are mandatory, and tracking them? They have no business being that close together. Cl...

I like this a lot, a good balance of cozy clutter and soothing clean lines. Scandinavia meets French Bohemian.

I'd do paint on the walls and some great throw pillows. I'm in the process of doing this in my fiance's (now our) living room. When I moved in it was white walls and brown on brown furniture, very ...

I was about to post EXACTLY what Cashew said. So - ditto. :)

Ugh. Way too much for me. I would hate this - and yet, compared against the other two entries? This would be my pick. Entry #1 is snore inducing - there's not a single element that interests me. En...

Love it. I have a cache of gorgeous rugs I've picked up in Turkey and at estate sales, and would love to do something like this - I adore the "eccentric professor's study" look. However, until my h...

My GOD, I love that candle holder! (Could it be considered a candlelabra?)

A Finnish friend brought back a few similar pieces on a trip home last year. Every time we sit down for coffee, I find myself charmed all over again by the adorable cups, a bright spot against her ...

I'd really like to try making bao. It's one of my comfort foods, and where I live now, I can't find anyone making it the way I like: pork PLUS lots of veggies and half a hard-boiled egg. It's as bi...

Ditto what gingergirl said, and mine is still in good shape (if a bit stained from coffee spills and sick kitties) after some 7 years. I use a little Woolite.

I know, just my personal reaction (I'll freely admit that I'm cheap, I grew up poor). Actually, after looking at the rest of the site, most things ARE quite reasonably priced. The salad bowl seems ...

I've lived in a few turn of the century homes which were built around the kitchens - enormous open spaces that served as the heart of the house. In the last one, you had to pass through the kitchen...

Beautiful, but at $70 for a single salad bowl, I think I'd rather take a ceramics class at the JC and make my own!

@ avimom - that's brilliant!

Oh, I should add - the tricks are making sure your skillet is HOT, and remembering to re-oil in between batches (I use my Misto).
