Ugh. We had to do this with my old sofa. Thankfully the ceilings in the building are high, so we turned it on it's end at the corners and did end-over-end all the way up to the 4th floor.
The holes are actually angled slightly upward, alternating from side to side, so that the bottles are pretty well supported. It's only been up for a few days, so my boyfriend and I haven't crashed...
I agree, and that's really not the traditional recipe, which incorporates ginger beer, not ale, and I think a touch of lime. It should be nice and spicy and gingery.
