My grandfather grew up in a desert wasteland during the great depression. Everything that came down the arroyo during the rainy season was kept and used - to the point where houses were built with ...

So, is that backsplash just a piece of linoleum covering the black and yellow tiles? If so, just rip it out. Those tiles have a nice art deco design, and if you paint the walls above them an even w...

Agreed. $300 - $1000 is not expensive for original work. You buy chairs for $300 - $1000, right?

Think about it. You can hang them like you hang coffee mugs under cabinets. At the very least comical, but maybe it has potential in the right hands.

Most companies these days are not asking for $ for credit checks, since you can do it free online now. And to fight about $75 - you have to make a decision, are you going to stand up ...

I've seen decorative pedestals similar to these used for planters and like lyndafitz suggested, ornamental balls (usually not glass but matching the pedestals). If you can't find a pl...

In a lot of communities (definitely not all), taggers have a different ethic about their work. Pure and simple, it's to try to stop or at least slow gentrification. A more inventive method, i...

...I kind of like it. It just needs a green roof throughout and some greenery on all that space around it.
