Thanks so much for the tutorial! I think it's perfect because it's so simple. I've been looking at spice racks and a similar rack that holds that many jars tends to be over $100, and/or ugly as sin...

yeah disregard my flickr link...I must have missed it in the post above, and I posted the old group link. Overtired posting not a good idea.

Questions: Where did that spice rack/jars come from?? I neeeed it. Also, the shelf in the kitchen where pots hang - is it just a plain wire shelf with "s" hooks?

For the look in the picture that goes with this article, where do you keep all your stuff if there's no medicine cabinet, or under sink storage?

I might have missed it, but I didn't see how much they paid for the house...

Ikea gets around.

I'm in my second round of AT. For the past year, I've done a lot of decluttering. Have a but more of that to do, and a few rooms left to cure. So far I've painted the living area and the office/gue...

Thanks als1 - I think I'll try those! I haven't had much luck with those things but that was back when they were a newer product. I bet they've improved.

Unfortunately it's not my fridge so I couldn't epoxy it or screw it in (I'd be a little nervous about screwing into the fridge anyways). My strip is only magnetic on the front as far as I know...hmmm

Thanks minnesara! I love it - I'm gonna order it right from the site! I love that it's stoneware and can be put in the oven too.

I am interested in where the owner got that red fruit bowl.

Question: how do you mount a magnetic knife strip to a refrigerator, such as in Xing's kitchen?

Laminate counter tops are already treated with plenty of chemicals, well actually they ARE chemicals. so...paint away!

I want to put Ikea laminate flooring down in my kitchen. Wondering if anyone has experience with doing this themselves? Is it difficult? I have a circular saw, will that work for cutting it?

Thank you for sharing this. People always say it "isn't possible" to do this, but anything is possible! Interested in an update after a few months to see how it holds up!

I love this idea. There's nothing like an old fashioned chalkboard (I'm a teacher and most schools have moved to white boards). Just keep in mind if you have a child with asthma, chalk dust is an i...

I'm not shocked at the price, I do afterall live in NYC. But I do wonder why the writer deems it "affordable." It's always interesting to see what you get for a million in this city.
