I've got big, bright flower pots and flowers on my balcony. I think it looks great and really stands out against the brown and beige of my building.
I've still got a couple of boxes to unpack from my move. I also have a few flowers left to plant.
I prefer to use pill boxes as jewelery organizers. Much less wasted space.
