yup, always take an empty water bottle. They'll make you pour out the water if you bring it full but they'll let you take the empty container. I'm disturbed by how many plastic water bottles are us...
We bought one of the Bodum cork top containers from the Container Store for our Q-tips in the bathroom... The idea of the container is ok but the cork is not sturdy enough to stand up to daily open...
At this point I don't feel like I need to see the people I'm talking to... but maybe in a few years when I have kids and grandma and grandpa are 1500 miles away...
My mom also uses shortening in place of half the butter in the Tollhouse chocolate chip cookie recipe (same as amylou61). She also usually doubles the recipe but only puts in one batch worth of chi...
it was pretty funny actually that so may of the chefs put too much dough into their deep-dish pans. I may not be a chef but even I was thinking "hello, where is all that dough going??"

mmmm.... a lamb stew. our crock pot is small... doesn't make enough stew at one time.
