yes and no, the bed frame and guard rail are from ikea but i modified them a bit. i wanted the bed to be low to the ground (my son was only 19 month's old when we moved him) so i took the 12" legs...

the storage unit is one of ikea's lack pieces. i made the storage bins myself as ikea didn't have bins that fit it. they now make a similar expedit piece that does have coordinating bins.

oh and the contents, except for the stuffed monsterl are behind plexi glass doors

the shelf unit is bolted with 4 inch lag bolts to the studs. i grew up a few miles from the northridge quake epicenter. i've been through a fair share of earthquakes.
